Jewelry Care Guide

To keep your GAIA gold-plated jewelry shining and prevent natural color change (oxidation), follow these simple rules:

  • Last On, First Off: Put your jewelry on after makeup, perfume, and lotion have dried. Take it off first when you get home.
  • Keep It Dry: Always remove your pieces before showering, swimming, or intense workouts.
  • Avoid Chemicals: Direct contact with harsh chemicals, perfumes, or saltwater can strip the gold layer and cause dullness.
  • Store Safely: Keep your pieces in the GAIA airtight pouch or a jewelry box to protect them from moisture.

Continuous open hearts link together to form a gold-plated stainless steel chain that sits close to the neck and catches light at every angle. At the center, a pink Mother of Pearl oval pendant framed in gold carries a delicate raised flower motif — stem, petals, and all. The clasp is a gold T-bar toggle; a separate abalone clover charm with white CZ pavé sits at the back, visible when the hair is up.

  • Elements: Pink Mother of Pearl oval pendant (flower motif, gold-plated frame), gold-plated stainless steel open heart chain, abalone shell clover charm (white CZ pavé), gold T-bar toggle clasp
  • Size: 52 cm
  • Rarity: One piece.
  • Associations: Cancer (Mother of Pearl) | Cancer (Abalone Shell)

Express your natural beauty with GAIA pieces, handcrafted with care in Egypt.

Mother of Pearl was among the first materials worked by human hands into ornament. Archaeological records from the ancient Near East document its use in inlay and jewelry as far back as 4,500 years ago — long before most gemstones were cut or polished. Its iridescence, produced by the same layered aragonite structure as the pearl itself, made it a material of consistent value across Egyptian, Mesopotamian, and later European decorative traditions.
