Gaia, also known as Gaia or Gaea, is one of the oldest and most important figures in Greek mythology, representing the primordial goddess of the earth. Gaia emerged from the primordial chaos that existed before the beginning of time, making her one of the first beings to incarnate in Greek mythology. As the embodiment of the Earth, she was revered as the supreme mother of all things, from gods and immortals to humans and mortals.

Her origins and lineage

Gaia is the embodiment of Earth in its primordial form, arising directly from the primordial chaos, known as Chaos. In Greek mythology, Gaia was considered the embodiment of the infinite and fertile nature of the earth, and thus occupied a central place in the cosmic order.

Through her union with Uranus, who was the god of the sky, and Pontus, the god of the sea, Gaia gave birth to many great gods and goddesses. Uranus was the father of great gods such as Cronus, while Pontus was the father of many sea gods. Through these family ties, a vast lineage was created, encompassing various cosmic forces and natural elements.
